San Diego

Finally disposed of my old uniforms from the Naval Academy – 4 suits of blues and an overcoat, for $60, which isn’t bad. I’m surprised the moths never got them in the four years they’ve been lying around.

Spent the day around Trude’s. Rainy.

Had Betty Hines over for dinner again and managed to keep her out until 3 a.m. – and the poor kid has to get up at 6 a.m. to get to the Ryan Aero Corp. office at 7:30 – I don’t envy her. Gave her a pair of silver earrings from Macassar in the Celebes. They looked on her, as I knew they would when I bought them – magnificent.
