Spent the day with Mom. Hamburgers again for lunch at Eaton’s. Dinner with Buff, Mia, and Oats. Earrings to Buff and Mia.

Yesterday afternoon saw the Capitulation of Vichy and Petain to the Germans. It means a prolongation of the war as the Germans will now get the French fleet and also French West Africa — Dakar and Casablanca. Those damn Frenchmen, one and all, should have their teeth kicked in along with the Japs and Germans, when this is over.
