San Francisco

No orders yet.

Lunch with Frank Taylor and his son Jim. He invited me to his house for Easter – was sorry I couldn’t accept.

Dinner with Hubert, Effie, Jack, and Peg. Very enjoyable. Rattled out to see Estelle later. Cold and rainy. Am getting nowhere with Sarah, the rather pretty elevator girl at the St. Francis – guess I’m slipping.

Ran into John Thro and Kurt at Steinway’s this afternoon. Haven’t seen them since the Academy. One is on the Colorado and the other the Maryland. They were out in Pearl Harbor for the big fun.

Bought Pierre Monteux’s recording of Cesar Franks D Minor Symphony.
