News from the States (Life & Time) is certainly disgusting nowadays. Strikes, race riots in Los Angeles and Detroit, confusion in Washington, “America Firsters” distributing anti-Jewish pamphlets and preaching isolationism. At times I wonder how it is that God permits the best of a generation sacrifice itself to protect such swine. And becoming heartily ashamed of my “Mother Country.” Unless we soon mend our national ways, I see no reason for anyone’s pride of “being an American.” But, I suppose, other countries are no better. This is certainly no idealist’s world.
