Kaneohe NAS

My back is damn near killing me. Recovered completely from my jackknifing two weeks ago, at least so I thought. But yesterday’s morning swim, which was not overexerting, has just about done me in. I can’t straighten up, after sitting down, without about 20 minutes of walking around, or rather shuffling around, as walking is quite painful. A laugh or cough makes both my knees buckle. During one of the “seizures” the muscles on the left side of my spine bulge out painfully and pull my back into an S shape. The doctor started me on diathermy treatments again and told me to quit flying for a while; also no exercise.

Went into town with Fuzzy and spent the night at Marion Robinson’s.
