Piva Field, Bougainville

The big news is Truk. The attack there has drained Rabaul of of Jap aircraft and our bombers are virtually unopposed in New Britain and New Ireland, except for pretty good AA. We cleaned out Kavieng the other day, and a Dumbo landed in the harbor under fire of shore batteries and cleared out 3 B-25 crews swimming in the water. Good work.

The Two Admirals up to Green Is. & return.
