Pearl Harbor

Had patrol standby this morning and was just settling down to an easy day with no hops, when a call came in from Kaneohe for a plane to take over one of their patrols, which had bogged down. Flew Northeast and saw nothing.

Finished reading Joseph Conrad’s “Victory.” A very moving story laid in the East Indies — on one of the small islands of the south end of the Makassar Straits.
