“Cactus,” Carney Field, Guadalcanal
Our troops are doing pretty well on New Georgia, while the air battles continue daily. Our new field at Segi Point, south New Georgia, is almost completed and the first fighters should be moving in any day.

As an armchair military history buff (esp WWII USN) I cannot thank the memories of Mr Nolan enough as well as the author of this blog.
