General Mitchell arrived at noon today with Dave Gardiner. The General has just been relieved as ComAirSols by Gen’l. “Two Star” Harmon.

Took Adm’l. Fitch and Gen’l. Mitchell over to see Adm’l. Halsey and staff arrive. Gen’l. “Three Star” Harmon also arrived in his B-24 just a few minutes before. All the brass on the island over at Koli.  Drove Adm’ls. Halsey, Fitch and Wilkinson to conference. Back late afternoon through the usual clouds of dust.
