Barbers Point NAS

Hop this afternoon. Slowed up my landings to a fairly short run. Made a few beauties.

Went to a USO show in the contractors auditorium after the hop. Six girls and eight boys put on the best amateur show I’ve ever seen. The audience was very appreciative especially as the girls were all quite pretty. Oddly enough the whole cast was really a cross-section of the island population, white, Oriental, and Kanaka, being mixed in with varying degrees. Some of the talent exhibited would’ve done credit on Broadway.
