Saw the ComFair West Coast “board” consisting of two officers, a doctor, and Moffett. Asked for duty in the Pacific with VR-10 (NATS transport squadron running between Hawaii and Australia). Threatened to turn in my wings if given instructors duty. They nodded they gave no commitments (they send the recommendation to San Diego who procures the orders).
Went to dinner with Beeza and MacIntosh.
Heard this morning of Noje’s death. Oh God!
