Pearl Harbor

Boarded USS Yorktown this morning. Quartered in the ships aviators’ rooms, while much be-medalled army aviators got the dormitories. The Yorktown has just returned from Marcus Island raid; she’s left the planes and pilots here at Pearl and is carrying nothing but returning personnel to the States where she’ll pick up a load of planes. Nosed slowly out of Pearl Harbor at 4 p.m. and turned towards S.F.
