Torokina, Bougainville, Solomon Islands

To Bougainville today! Pass between Treasury and Shortland Is. exactly one year to the hour since the St. Valentine’s Day massacre there with my squadron. Poor old Cooper and Bacon. Their wrecked planes lie somewhere beneath these brilliant blue waters. 

The Camp, (ComAirSols) at Torokina is excellent with its clean white sand underfoot. Roads and strips very well kept.
