I’m to get out of the hospital tomorrow and return to duty. Shall be sorry to leave as I’ve had a thoroughly enjoyable rest. Have gained some weight, put on a good tan, and in general look 100% better than when I landed here.

Spent the afternoon on the beach with D. and Dr. Ludwig.

Talked to a fellow (in the bed across from me) this evening who I just bought, through his wine mess, a case of I.W.Harper Bourbon for $14.70! A little over a dollar a quart! I’d like to corner the market on that.

Went to the hospital show with D. this evening where she excited the usual admiration.
