The bed next to me is occupied by Dr. Anthony Allegrini of San Jose and Santa Cruz. Graduated from Bellarmine. Knew Tony Fretz,  Paula Fatjo & Alice Castle, and many others. Small world.

Went to mass this morning under a large tree outside the ward. The tree formed a perfect small chapel. Druid.

Spent the afternoon on the beach with D., Mavis, and Carl. Sky cloudless, water clear. Last night D. had to go to Gen’l Harmon’s for dinner, tonight to Admiral Somebody’s. She said she doesn’t want to, but thinks she should, as they have all been so good to her. Good girl.
