Ryder (COMSOPAC Transmitter) and Bright (USMCR-VMSB-232) left today.

Weather cool but sunny — very like California. Met D. on beach during the noon hour. Swam and froze in the wind later.

Out on another picnic at St. Louis mission this evening with D., Mavis, and Carl. Good fire and toasted cheese sandwiches for the main course. Later went over to Carl’s Balloon Barrage Headquarters. Very interesting set up. On the whole, a thoroughly enjoyable day.
