Orders came through today and I was the envy of the squadron. The Captain contained himself, and told me indirectly that I could leave on the 28th the B ——- D ——- o’well, I guess that’s better than I really expected, although he could let me go now.

Another big crowd in the room tonight — despite my inhospitality and downright grouchiness at times, they always come back (?).
