Barbers Point NAS

Into Pearl Harbor this morning with “Tad” Fairbanks. Had cavity in front tooth fixed over on Ford Island. Also picked up a bottle of my favorite black rum – Jamaica “Red Heart.” Nothing better.

Made my first visit to the yard offices of the Pacific Air Intelligence headquarters. Jim Johnson introduced me around. The skipper, a Lieut. Cmdr. Armour, is an excellent fellow. Told me I was most welcome at any time.

Down to the officers club and picked up more liquor, before going into town and spending the night at the Halekulani.
