Pulled in to Fremantle this morning a little before noon. Four subs alongside – Sea Dragon, Sculpin — (185, 187, 191). Still living aboard the ship. A rumor is going around that we are to be sent back to the U.S. I hope it isn’t true – at least for me.

Patwing 10 has finally reached the bitter end of the rope. Since the war began they have lost 42 out of 45 planes. A good number of those were lost on the water at anchor, or just getting underway. The remaining three have been declared incapable of further work involving combat.
